How it works
Supply dust to the input and connect the sand output to the next stage.
At full power, the static recipe converts up to 5 kg per 12-second cycle. Smaller batches may wait for more input.

- Recipe / cycle

Pressure chamber recipe and storage
In the analyzed build, one full cycle accepts up to 5 kg of dust and produces up to 5 kg of sand over 12 seconds. Five full cycles per minute give the theoretical maximum of 25 kg of sand per minute at full power. A partially filled chamber can handle a smaller batch, but code also includes conditions that may wait for more input.
The serialized storage slots are separate: 20 kg for incoming dust, 5 kg for material in processing and 10 kg for the sand output. These numbers describe the machine’s buffers, not a promise that a connected belt can continuously supply or remove material at the theoretical rate.
How many stone presses can it supply?
A full-speed stone press consumes up to 10 kg of sand and 10 kg of dust per minute. Two presses need 20 kg/min of sand, leaving 5 kg/min of the chamber’s ideal output. They also need a separate 20 kg/min dust supply.
For the complete chamber-plus-two-press example, the chamber needs another 25 kg/min of dust: 45 kg/min total. The machines require 46 kW at their extracted running ratings. Those figures assume uninterrupted input, enough power and open outputs.
What to check before adding another chamber
First distinguish a lack of sand from a lack of dust at the stone press. The press has separately named IN_SAND and IN_DUST ports. If sand is accumulating at the chamber but the press is idle, inspect the path and the press input before assuming the chamber needs an upgrade.
If both processors are supplied but power is short, the static code indicates that reduced power slows cycle progress. The factory calculator flags a shortfall but does not simulate the resulting throughput.
If it isn’t working
- Check the dust input and that the sand output has room.
- Check the power connection; reduced power slows cycle progress.
Frequently asked questions
How much sand does a pressure chamber make?
Its extracted full-power recipe reaches up to 25 kg/min with a continuous supply and clear output; actual throughput has not been measured.
How much does a pressure chamber cost?
The analyzed building definition has a $500 base price. Game updates or runtime conditions may change what appears in the build menu.
How much power does the pressure chamber need?
Its extracted running rating is 10 kW. Reduced power can slow cycle progress; a generator’s peak rating does not guarantee that power is always available.
