Stone press

Combine dust and sand into stone for a higher-value processed output.

01 / OVERVIEW

How it works

The two inputs are separate: feed dust to IN_DUST and sand to IN_SAND.

Each full cycle consumes 1 kg of each and produces 2 kg of stone.

IN DUST INPUTIN SAND INPUTOUT OUTPUT

Stone press recipe explained

The extracted recipe combines 1 kg of dust and 1 kg of sand into 2 kg of stone every 6 seconds. Ten full cycles per minute correspond to a theoretical 20 kg/min of stone, using 10 kg/min of each input. The machine has separate named conveyor inputs for dust and sand, plus an output.

Its serialized input buffers are 12 kg of dust and 12 kg of sand, with a 10 kg stone output slot and separate 1 kg working slots. A full buffer or a blocked outlet changes the actual operating pattern, so buffer sizes should not be confused with output per minute.

Example: one chamber and two presses

One pressure chamber makes up to 25 kg/min of sand on paper. Two presses use 20 kg/min of that sand and another 20 kg/min of dust, producing up to 40 kg/min of stone. Supplying the chamber itself requires 25 kg/min more dust, for 45 kg/min total.

The chamber and two presses draw a combined 46 kW at their extracted running ratings. At the configured base value of $7/kg, 40 kg/min of stone represents $280/min of material value; any surplus sand and actual sale conditions must be considered separately.

If the press is idle

Trace both inputs independently. A moving capsule does not establish that the right material is arriving at the right named port. Once both inputs are present, check power and whether there is room for the 2 kg output batch.

For a small reproduction, use one chamber and one press first. Observe the dust input, sand input and output before adding a splitter or another press. These checks are diagnostics, not verified fixes for every game version.

FIELD CHECK

If it isn’t working

  • Check both input types and leave room for the stone output.
  • Check the power grid; output is theoretical at full power and with continuous supply.

Frequently asked questions

How much stone can one press produce?

The extracted full-power recipe gives up to 20 kg/min when both inputs are continuously supplied and the output is clear. The real rate can be lower.

Why does the stone press need two inputs?

Its recovered recipe consumes dust and sand in equal amounts. The build definition names separate IN_DUST and IN_SAND conveyor ports.

How much dust and sand does a stone press consume?

At its full theoretical recipe rate, one press uses 10 kg of dust and 10 kg of sand per minute. Each full six-second cycle makes 2 kg of stone.
