Start with one working route
A simple delivery route moves collected material through a packager and conveyor toward the base intake. Community reports describe this route; individual placement and unloading steps still need in-game verification.
- Place a packager and identify its OUT port.
- Supply material and connect a conveyor in the direction of the destination.
- Watch a capsule travel the complete route, then check whether the base registers the delivery.
- If it stops, isolate the first point at which the capsule no longer advances.
Add processing deliberately
The analyzed pressure chamber can convert dust to sand; the stone press needs separate dust and sand inputs. A full-speed pressure chamber makes up to 25 kg sand per minute. One full-speed stone press uses up to 10 kg sand and 10 kg dust per minute.
These are static, full-power recipe limits, not a guarantee of what a belt layout produces. See the machine pages for individual ports and buffers.
Keep the outlet clear
The packager has a 100 kg storage field and a timer-based capsule attempt ceiling. An open output, input supply and downstream space are necessary; actual belt throughput remains unmeasured.
Patch 1.0.4 reports a fix for machines stopping with a capsule-packing error. Confirm the game version before applying advice from an older report.
What each part of the line does
A packager is a buildable machine that puts material into capsules. A conveyor moves those capsules along a connected route. A pressure chamber and a stone press are processing machines: their job is to change the material, so their output depends on both the recipe and a usable path out.
The Auto-Packer is a different purchase in the upgrade tree. Its localized description says a full hand-tool container can pack itself at the player’s feet. It is not the same item as the buildable Packager, and unlocking it does not by itself establish a complete conveyor-to-sale route.
Why one complete delivery is a better first test
A capsule leaving the packager proves only that the first step occurred. Watch it through the belt connection and the destination, then check the result at the base. If it disappears from view before delivery, reduce the test to a shorter route and observe each connection.
Once one delivery works, add a junction or processor at a time. This keeps the number of possible failure points small. Our extracted build definitions give port names and directions, but they do not by themselves establish a universal camera-facing orientation for every placement.
Estimate the belt without confusing it with the packager
The analyzed code contains a belt movement constant of 1.1 m/s and a queue-spacing constant of 0.75 m. If a straight lane maintained exactly those values with a continuous stream, the arithmetic is about 88 capsules per minute. This is a model, not a measured rate.
Separately, a packager is checked on an approximately 0.35-second host timer and can attempt a capsule of up to 1 kg on each check. Its roughly 171.4 attempts per minute are not the number successfully delivered. Inserter behavior, belt transitions and a full destination can all make observed output different.
When to introduce a second processing step
A chamber has an ideal sand output of up to 25 kg/min, while one stone press uses up to 10 kg/min of sand and 10 kg/min of dust. One chamber can therefore cover the sand requirement of two presses on paper, with 5 kg/min left over. The two presses still need a separate dust supply.
This ratio is a starting point for a test, not a guarantee that two presses will run at full speed. Check power, incoming material and room at the stone output before buying more machines.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Packager automatically sell dust?
The packager prepares and attempts to emit capsules; a successful sale also requires a functioning delivery route and destination. We have not verified every placement and sale step in-game.
Is the Auto-Packer the same as the Packager?
No. The Auto-Packer is an upgrade for a full hand-tool container; the Packager is a buildable machine with its own storage and conveyor output.
How many stone presses can one pressure chamber supply?
At the extracted full-power recipe rates, two presses use 20 kg/min of the chamber’s 25 kg/min maximum sand output. They also need 20 kg/min of additional dust.
Static recipe values use analyzed build f87fd7e5, which is not independently mapped to a Steam patch number. Official patch claims cite the developer; community reports are observations, not verified fixes. The guidance has not been tested in-game.
